Men's Hoops Climbs to Third in D3Hoops Poll
The week four edition of the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll was released on Monday evening, and the Yellow Jackets moved up one spot to third, receiving three first place votes. R-MC won their previous five matchups and have started the season 8-1 and 4-0 in ODAC play.
Randolph-Macon did not play last week in preparation for the Suyes Yellow Jacket Classic but began the tournament with an 86-53 win over Merchant Marine on day one.
Previously, the Yellow Jackets were picked atop the preseason poll, and were picked eighth in the first poll release of the regular season, fifth in week two, and fourth in week three. After a couple losses for teams above them, R-MC moves up to third in the poll for week four. The Yellow Jackets received three of the 25 possible first place votes in the poll.
Randolph-Macon will play Stockton in the championship of the Suyes Yellow Jacket Classic on Tuesday, Dec. 20 in Crenshaw Gym at 4 p.m. before returning Dec. 29-30 for the R-MC Coaches Tournament.
