Census Bureau: 82.5% of people in Goochland County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 24,300 citizens living in Goochland County in 2021, 82.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 20,035 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 9,833 were male, constituting 49.1%, and 10,202 were female, making up 50.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Goochland County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.9%.
