Several businesses in Ashland received recognition at the first Heart of Hanover awards, held on June 11, 2025. The event highlighted local enterprises for their contributions to the community.
Ashland Mayor Steve Trivett and Supervisor Faye Prichard joined Town staff to congratulate Porvair Filtration Group, Ashland Theatre, The Caboose Market & Cafe, Refunkit, and Root Modern Dentistry on their achievements. In a statement from the Town of Ashland, officials said: “Thank you for choosing Ashland as your business home. We are so grateful to have you here, and we celebrate your well-deserved recognition. And thank you Hanover County Government for creating this opportunity to showcase our business community.”
The awards were created by Hanover County Government to recognize outstanding businesses in the area. Organizers encouraged residents to congratulate all winners and support local businesses.
