Henrico County Government recently addressed various community concerns through a series of tweets. The updates included issues related to public utilities and foster care needs within the county.
On July 7, 2025, Henrico County Government reported that “Public Utilities is looking into multiple reports of low or reduced water pressure in the area of John Rolfe and Ridgefield parkways in western Henrico County.” Residents experiencing these issues are advised to report any unusual conditions by calling 804-727-8700.
In another tweet on the same day, Henrico County highlighted a need for foster families, stating that “Henrico is looking for families to care for children of all ages, but has a significant need for families to support children 12 and older, sibling groups and young children who cannot attend day care.”
Additionally, they encouraged community involvement in foster care by inviting interested individuals to attend information sessions. The county tweeted: “Are you interested in becoming a foster parent? Please attend a free information session to learn how you can support local children and their families.”
The call for foster parents aligns with broader educational statistics from the region. During the 2023-24 school year, Henrico County Public Schools District enrolled over 50,000 students. Black students were the largest ethnic group at 35.7% of enrollment. Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among high schools with over 2,000 students.
