Henrico County Government announces board approvals and highlights services for seniors

Henrico County Government shared updates on services for older residents and recent financial decisions made by the Board of Supervisors in a series of posts on September 23, 2025.

In its first announcement, Henrico County Government highlighted resources available to senior citizens: “Henrico offers a range of services for older residents through the Outreach & Engagement Agency and the Advocate for the Aging’s Office: https://t.co/sIpUjii4SH” (posted September 23, 2025).

The county also reported on fiscal matters following a public hearing. In one post, it stated: “Following a public hearing, the Board approved a resolution amending the fiscal 2025-26 budget by about $30.5 million. Details are at https://t.co/1tcRkcEGg9” (posted September 23, 2025).

Another update from the same day addressed infrastructure funding: “Following a public hearing, the Board approved a resolution for the sale of up to $125 million of water & sewer system revenue bonds. Funds from the bond sale will support Public Utilities projects.” (posted September 23, 2025).

Henrico County is home to Henrico County Public Schools District, which enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 school year according to data from the Virginia Department of Education (source). Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among all schools in the county that year (source). Black students represented approximately one-third of total enrollment in Henrico schools during this period (source). The district’s overall student population increased slightly compared to previous years (source), with Holladay Elementary School enrolling more pre-kindergarten students than any other school in Henrico (source).
