Henrico County Government announced details regarding the Sept. 23, 2025 meeting of the Henrico Board of Supervisors and highlighted upcoming community events in a series of posts on its official Twitter account.
On September 23, 2025, Henrico County Government informed residents that “The Sept. 23 meeting of the #Henrico Board of Supervisors will start at 6 p.m. There are two ways to watch online: see the livestream at https://t.co/fJzlnqiKHv or join the Webex version at https://t.co/E7ShnbXQi2.” The county also encouraged public participation by stating in a separate post, “You can participate remotely if you’re watching on Webex. To join a public hearing or the public comment portion of the regular meeting, please see this guidance: https://t.co/E7ShnbXQi2.”
Later that evening, Henrico County Government reported on an initiative supporting older residents: “The Board has approved a proclamation recognizing Oct. 6-12 as Active Aging Week, celebrating the decades of contributions of older residents to the Henrico community. The county plans a series of activities, including the Annual Active Aging Walk & Fitness Forum Oct. 10.”
Henrico County is home to one public school district with an enrollment exceeding 50,000 students during the 2023-24 academic year (source). Deep Run High School recorded the highest enrollment among local schools with more than 2,000 students enrolled for that period (source). Black students represented about 36% of total enrollment, making them the largest ethnic group in Henrico schools (source). Additionally, Holladay Elementary School had notable pre-kindergarten enrollment figures during this time frame (source).
Active Aging Week and opportunities for remote participation reflect ongoing efforts by county officials to engage and support diverse segments of Henrico’s population.
