The Henrico County Government has announced several upcoming events and initiatives via its official social media platform. These announcements provide insight into the local government’s plans and activities, particularly concerning meetings and voting arrangements.

On June 6, 2025, the Henrico County Board of Supervisors announced that it will hold a special joint meeting with the Hanover County Board of Supervisors. The meeting is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center located at 1 All Star Boulevard. More details can be found in their announcement.

In a subsequent post on the same day, the agenda for this joint meeting was outlined to include discussions on regional cooperation and public water service. A livestream of the meeting will be available online for those who wish to follow remotely, as stated in their update.

Additionally, early in-person voting for the primary election scheduled for June 17 is currently underway. Voters have been informed that they can cast their ballots on Saturdays, June 7 and June 14, at designated locations including Henrico Government Center & Eastern Government Center (registrar’s office) and Varina Area Library. These sites will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to another tweet from later that day.

Henrico County Public Schools District enrolled over fifty thousand students during the previous school year, reflecting slight growth compared to earlier years. Deep Run High School had notably high enrollment figures among county schools.
