Henrico County Government announced on September 23, 2025, that the Board of Supervisors approved a $2.8 million contract for the rehabilitation of a bridge on Parham Road. The bridge spans the CSX railroad tracks east of Parham’s intersection with Staples Mill Road.

In a post made on September 23, Henrico County Government stated, “The Board voted to award a $2.8 million contract for the rehabilitation of a bridge on Parham Road. The bridge passes over the CSX railroad tracks east of Parham’s intersection with Staples Mill Road.” In a follow-up message posted later that evening, officials added, “Work is expected to begin later this year and be completed in October 2026: https://t.co/kwdLxwuFVs”.

Henrico County Government also informed residents about access to meeting records, stating in another post on September 23, “The Sept. 23 meeting of the Board of Supervisors has concluded. Archived video of the meeting will be available at https://t.co/fJzlnqicRX”.

Henrico County is home to Henrico County Public Schools District, which enrolled 50,464 students during the 2023-24 school year according to data from the Virginia Department of Education (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home). Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among the county’s schools with 2,039 students during that period. Black students represented the largest ethnic group in Henrico County schools at 35.7% of total enrollment, followed by white students at 31.9%. Overall student enrollment in Henrico County increased slightly by 0.1% compared to the previous year.
