Henrico County Government announced on August 26, 2025, that its Board has approved several resolutions concerning local infrastructure and public amenities, including agreements impacting the Central Virginia Soccer Association and right of way at Old Pump Road.

In a post published on August 26, 2025, Henrico County Government stated, “The Board has approved a resolution for an agreement with the Central Virginia Soccer Association to improve & maintain the association’s parking lot at 10425 Greenwood Rd. As part of the agreement, the association will allow visitors to the Fall Line Trail to use the lot.”

Another update posted on the same day provided further information: “Information about Henrico’s portion of the regional Fall Line Trail is available at https://t.co/zTXhtnHX8e.”

Additionally, Henrico County Government shared details regarding a separate resolution: “The Board has approved a resolution abandoning a portion of right of way at Old Pump Road, near the intersection of John Rolfe Pkwy, Pump & Church roads. Bradford Homes, owner of property nearby, has requested the abandonment; the right of way is not needed for public transit.” This action was taken after determining that this section was unnecessary for future transportation plans.

Henrico County is home to a single public school district that enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 academic year. Deep Run High School reported the highest enrollment among county schools with more than 2,000 students during that period. Black students comprised approximately 35.7% of total enrollment in Henrico schools for 2023-24—the largest ethnic group—followed by white students at nearly 32%. The overall student population increased slightly from the previous year. Holladay Elementary School had the most pre-kindergarten students enrolled in any county school during that time.
