Henrico County Government has announced updates to its programs and upcoming community initiatives, according to a series of posts made in late September 2025.
On September 22, the county government stated: “The Henrico Investment Program has been expanded, enabling more business & commercial property owners in targeted areas to access a range of grants, technical assistance & other support to improve their properties. A day later, on September 23, the county shared information about an upcoming community meeting: “Supervisors Misty Roundtree, of Three Chopt, and Jody Rogish, of Tuckahoe, will host a community meeting from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 to discuss ways to enhance safety along a portion of Three Chopt Road that serves Freeman High, Ridge Elementary and Tuckahoe Middle schools. https://t.co/PAUrl6oGcD” In a follow-up post on the same date, the government added: “The meeting will be held in the auditorium of Freeman High School, 8701 Three Chopt, and include representatives of the Police Division and Department of Public Works.”
These announcements come as Henrico County Public Schools District remains the sole school district serving the area. During the 2023-24 school year, it enrolled over 50,000 students—a slight increase from previous years—with Deep Run High School having the highest enrollment among all schools in the county (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home). The student body is diverse; Black students made up approximately 36% of total enrollment during that period (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home).
Henrico County’s ongoing efforts aim to support local businesses through expanded investment programs while also focusing on public safety near key educational institutions.
