Henrico County Government recently highlighted the contributions of Ashley Kubat, head of administration at the Economic Development Authority (EDA), through a series of social media posts focused on community development and career opportunities in Henrico County.
On August 29, 2025, the county shared that “Ashley Kubat appreciates being part of a team at the Economic Development Authority and enjoys contributing to projects that strengthen the community and economy of Henrico County.” In a subsequent post on the same day, Kubat was quoted as saying, “Henrico has such a forward focus as a county. So it really puts an emphasis on growth, not only for the county itself but also for employees,” emphasizing both personal and organizational advancement.
The county also promoted its status as an employer in Virginia, stating on August 29, 2025: “Level up your career by working for Henrico – one of the best employers in VA, according to @Forbes! The county offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, career advancement opportunities and an inclusive work environment. Explore job opportunities: https://t.co/Uw332WaR2t”
Henrico County is home to a large public school system. According to state data from the 2023-24 school year, Henrico County Public Schools District enrolled over 50,000 students (source). Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among all schools in the district with more than 2,000 students (source). The student body is diverse; Black students represented about 36% of total enrollment during this period while white students made up nearly 32% (source). Total district enrollment increased slightly from the previous year (source). Holladay Elementary School had the largest pre-kindergarten program in the county with over 200 students enrolled (source).
