Henrico County Government recently shared insights into a community event and resources for older residents through a series of tweets. The posts highlighted the county’s efforts to engage with its senior population, offering them opportunities for connection and growth.
On June 7, 2025, Henrico County Government tweeted about an event organized by Henrico’s Outreach & Engagement Agency at the Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center. The gathering aimed to celebrate and learn from the experiences of older residents while promoting a sense of belonging among nearly 200 guests from across the region. “Henrico’s Outreach & Engagement Agency organized the event at the Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center to celebrate & learn from the experiences of older residents, share resources & promote a sense of belonging. In another tweet posted on June 7, Deputy County Manager Monica Smith-Callahan addressed attendees with words emphasizing personal growth and engagement throughout aging. She stated, “Aging is not a destination; it’s a journey filled with opportunities for growth, exploration, connection and purpose,” further adding that “We believe there is no age limit on living fully.”
