In a tweet at 22:20 UTC, Henrico County Government congratulated the Mavericks, including Coach Steven Gromling and team members Zach Bender, Henry Brooks, Charlie Duerson, Jackson Holsten, Caleb Jun, Nicholas Kuriger, Teddy Martin, Cole Nelson, Caleb Stuhlmacher, Nathan Szobota, Tyler Rossi, Blaine Nelson, and William Beach for their accomplishments.
Continuing in another post at 22:21 UTC, the government extended its congratulations to additional Mavericks team members Eli Brookshier, Henry Britt, Ella Barron, Allison Bischoff, Karina Blanco, Julia Connor, Elianna Cuce, Lane Francis, Katelyn Morrow, Molly Sleman, Charlotte White, Scotty Gregory, Grace Harbach, Eva Brown and Elizabeth Stott.
In a subsequent update at 22:23 UTC, it was announced that the Board is recognizing May as Bike Month. A bike safety workshop is scheduled for Wednesday at Libbie Mill Library. Henrico County Public Schools District enrolled 50,464 students during the 2023-24 school year. Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among its 68 schools with 2,039 students. During this period Black students represented the largest ethnic group in Henrico County schools.
