Henrico County Government, through its official communication channel, provided updates on various local matters. These included information about the primary election, details on the ballot, and changes in public services due to Juneteenth observance.

On June 17, 2025, Henrico County Government announced “It’s Election Day! Polling locations are open until 7 p.m. for voting in the primary election. Voters should bring their ID. Curbside voting is available for voters age 65 or older or with a disability.” This announcement served as a reminder to residents about the voting process and accommodations available for certain groups.

In another update on the same day, it was noted that “In Henrico, the primary ballot features only Democratic races for lieutenant governor, attorney general & the House of Delegates. Voters do not register by political party in Virginia, so this election is open to all.” This clarified that all registered voters could participate regardless of party affiliation.

Later that day, Henrico County Government informed residents that “Henrico’s general government offices & courts will be closed Thursday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Refuse collection will not occur. Routes will resume Friday on a 1-day delay for the rest of the week. The county’s public-use areas will be open.” This notification aimed to inform citizens about service adjustments during the holiday.

Henrico County Public Schools District enrolled 50,464 students during the 2023-24 school year across its schools. Notably, Deep Run High School had significant enrollment figures among high schools within the district.
