Henrico County Government has recently shared updates on various initiatives and opportunities for its residents. Through a series of tweets, the county government highlighted an upcoming event for affordable housing, the process for updating its comprehensive plan, and a call for public input on future land use.

On June 2, 2025, Henrico County Government announced that qualifying homebuyers and builders interested in participating in the county’s affordable housing trust fund can obtain information and engage with officials at the “Keys to Home Ownership” event scheduled for June 12. In another tweet posted on June 2, 2025, it was noted that Henrico County staff will review all comments from recent Suggestion Sessions meetings as part of efforts to update the county’s comprehensive plan. Additional information can be found here.

The same day, residents were reminded that they still have time to influence Henrico’s future by commenting on the Draft 2045 Land Use Map until Friday, June 6. The Department of Planning is accepting input through their website or via email at compplan@henrico.gov. More details are provided here.

Henrico County Public Schools District remains a significant aspect of the community with an enrollment of over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 school year. Notably, Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among high schools in Henrico County during this period.
