Henrico County Government has highlighted recent achievements and opportunities through a series of posts on July 14, 2025. The county emphasized its reputation as an employer, shared employee testimonials, and announced recognition from a local high school program.

On July 14, 2025, Henrico County Government posted that it is considered one of the best employers in Virginia by Forbes. The county stated: “Level up your career by working for Henrico – one of the best employers in Virginia, according to Forbes! The county offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, career advancement & an inclusive work environment. To explore job opportunities, visit https://t.co/Uw332WaR2t.”

In another post on the same day, Jenn Welch, emergency coordinator with Henrico County Emergency Management and Workplace Safety (@henricocountyemws), described her positive experience as a long-term employee. She said: “Jenn Welch says Henrico gives employees opportunities to thrive professionally & instills a sense of family. ‘I have worked here since I got out of college, & … that speaks volumes that I’ve never wanted to leave,’ says the emergency coordinator with @henricocountyemws.”

Later that afternoon, Henrico County Government announced it had received recognition from Cristo Rey High School’s Corporate Work Study Program. The post read: “Henrico County Government earned the 2025 Community Award from Cristo Rey High School’s Corporate Work Study Program!”

Henrico County Public Schools District is the only school district in Henrico County and enrolled 50,464 students during the 2023-24 school year. Deep Run High School had the highest enrollment among the county’s schools with 2,039 students during this period. Black students represented the largest ethnic group in Henrico County schools at 35.7% of total enrollment (17,966 students), followed by white students at 31.9% (16,066 students). Total enrollment increased slightly from the previous year.
