The posts emphasize Bass’s commitment to engaging with residents and enhancing local infrastructure.

In a post made at 17:30 UTC, Henrico County Government stated, “As construction director for the Department of Public Works and a lifelong resident of Henrico, Jason Bass welcomes the opportunity to listen to residents’ concerns and to continually improve the county’s roads.”

Shortly after, at 17:33 UTC, another post quoted Bass directly: “The county offers a good opportunity to grow, both with my career as well as my wealth of knowledge of just the county that I grew up in and still currently live in,” Bass says.

Henrico County is home to an extensive public school system. During the 2023-24 academic year, Henrico County Public Schools District enrolled over 50,000 students—a figure that saw a slight increase from previous years (source). Deep Run High School reported the highest enrollment among all schools in the district with more than 2,000 students (source). Demographically, Black students comprised about 36% of total enrollment while white students represented nearly 32% (source). Additionally, Holladay Elementary School led pre-kindergarten enrollment in the district during this period (source).
