Beginning July 7, the City of Richmond’s Parking Enterprise Division will implement new parking fees for Fiscal Year 2026. These changes follow the annual budget approved by the City Council in May.

The updated rates include a $0.50 increase in parking meter fees, raising them from $2.00 to $2.50 per hour. This adjustment aims to promote turnover parking, providing more short-term options in high-demand areas.

Penalties for exceeding metered time limits will also rise from $25 to $30. Additionally, fines for parking violations such as parking on sidewalks, within 15 feet of fire hydrants, or blocking driveways will increase from $40 to $50.

Monthly parking fees in city-owned garages will see a $5 increment as well.
