Northern Virginia Community College Athletics issued the following announcement on Jan. 7
With the spring semester starting shortly, the Northern Virginia Community College Esports team is hosting spring season tryouts beginning Monday, Jan. 10 for Valorant, Rocket League, Rainbow Six, Halo Infinite, Overwatch and Hearthstone.
The Nighthawks Rocket League team is coming off their first NJCAAE National Championship, while Valorant is in search of a third crown.
To become a member of the Nighthawks esports team, potential student-athletes must be enrolled in 12 or more credit hours at NOVA for the entirety of the spring semester. Students must also be in good academic standing with the college.
All students must fill out this form before trying out. Avoiding filling out forms will eliminate students from the team. Students are asked to join the NOVA discord as well.
