Virginia Union University is pleased to announce the appointment of Victoria Nichols as Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management. Nichols joined the staff of Virginia Union University in February 2021.
“Ms. Nichols has led the admissions team to great success as the Director of Admissions,” said Dr. Hakim J. Lucas, President and CEO of Virginia Union University. “Her appointment in this new role is just one example of how our leaders and university as a whole are evolving and becoming Best in Class.”
Nichols has 22 years of experience in enrollment management, recruitment and diversity, academic success and advising, student affairs, counseling, financial and strategic planning, retention and academic affairs. Her professional aphorism is “Meeting students where they are and impacting their lives one day at a time.”
Nichols earned a master's degree in Educational Management from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Virginia State University. She has a passion for higher education and is a resilient advocate for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
