Joseph "Joey" Graham II was selected to be a 2022 White House summer intern through a highly selective program that provides unique opportunities to serve the public and support the work of the Executive Office of the President.
Every summer, the White House Internship Program welcomes an elite group of college students from around the world to gain insights into how the government works from inside the White House. Interns at the White House learn important life skills, such as time management, teamwork, and leadership. They also have an opportunity to help shape policymaking. Through their work, the interns make connections and friendships that last a lifetime.
Joey is a 2020 graduate of DeMatha Catholic High School and a rising junior at Virginia Union University, majoring in business analytics. He is a member of the university's golf team, earning a place on The All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) first team and being named Rookie of the Year in spring 2021 as a COVID freshman.
"This is an awesome opportunity and experience for Joey. This will be an experience that will be long cherished and remembered. As Joey's golf coach, I continue to be proud of his golf and personal accomplishments", says Coach Coble.
