Virginia Union University's football team was picked to finish third overall in the CIAA and second in the CIAA Northern Division, it was revealed at the CIAA Football Media Day on Wednesday, July 20, in Roanoke, Va.
The Panthers were picked to finish behind defending CIAA Dvisional Champions Fayetteville State University and Bowie State University.
"It doesn't matter who we play," said VUU Football Coach Dr. Alvin Parker. "Our most important opponent is always our next opponent. You can't take away what Bowie State has done, and they've established their program. We know we have to compete come October."
Season passes for the 2022 Virginia Union University Football Season are now on sale in the VUU Athletic Department in the Belgium Building
The passes are $100 and will enable fans to attend all five regular-season football games this season, beginning with the Willard Bailey Classic, where VUU will meet Virginia University of Lynchburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1.
