Women's Volleyball Completes Perfect Stevens Invitational with 2-0 Saturday
Randolph Macon Women's Volleyball made it a perfect three-for-three at the Stevens Invitational, topping William Paterson in three sets to open the morning, while the final contest saw the Yellow Jackets handle Montclair St. in four.

How It Happened (Match 1 vs. William Paterson):
- After trailing 5-4 in the first set, Randolph-Macon ran off 21 of the final 26 points to take the first step with command.
- The second set went the way of Randolph-Macon as well, as the Yellow Jackets carried the momentum and started the set with a 13-4 advantage to see out a two-set lead.
- William Paterson looked to extend the match in the third set, laying claim to the first six points but Randolph-Macon would not go away. The Yellow Jackets recorded the next seven to take control and see the sweep.
- Grace Parker (Andover, N.J./Pope John XXIII) led the way for the Yellow Jackets with 12 kills while Leslie Curry (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) tallied 11 digs to lead the way on the defensive side.
- Abby Linsky (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield) recorded just five kills, but those five kills came on just seven swings.
- Randolph-Macon took the first set with a late push, as Parker recorded a kills and closed the stanza with an ace.
- It again was the Yellow Jackets to record the final point in the second set as Parker teamed up with Draney to record a block and close out the second set.
- Montclair State spoiled the perfect 6-for-6 sets for Randolph-Macon as they took the third set, but the Yellow Jackets left less to be desired with a win in the fourth set.
- Parker reached double-digit kills yet again, recording 19 and making her 9-for-9 in double-digit kills to start the year.
- Bailey Johnson (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) had her strongest showing of the campaign, recording a season-high 17 kills.
