R-MC Hires Eight New Tenure-Track Faculty Members

With pride in our legacy of exceptional faculty who are both scholars and mentors, Randolph-Macon College recruited and hired eight educators to join our faculty on a tenure-track effective at the start of the 2022-23 academic year.

Sam Allen joins R-MC as Assistant Professor of Communication Studies. He earned his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Wyoming, and his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Donelle Boose will teach in our Black Studies program as an Assistant Professor of History. She earned her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her M.P.S. from Cornell University, and her Ph.D. from American University.

Dyanis Conrad joins the Education department as an Assistant Professor. She earned her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech.

Maha Elouni joins R-MC as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. She earned her B.S. and M.S. from the National School of Computer Sciences in Tunisia, in addition to an M.S. and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech.

Brittany Freelin joins R-MC as an Assistant Professor of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology. She earned her B.A. from Christopher Newport University and her M.A. from The Pennsylvania State University, and is anticipated to complete her Ph.D. from Penn State in 2022.

Antonio Hunt joins our music faculty as an Assistant Professor and Director of Choral Activities. He earned his B.A. from Morehouse College, his M.M. from Georgia State University, and his D.M.A. from the University of Oklahoma.

Kate Laws joins R-MC as an Assistant Professor of Biology. She earned her B.S. from Clemson University and Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Ray Schmidt joins the Randolph-Macon faculty as an Assistant Professor of Biology after five years as a visiting professor. He earned his B.S. from South Dakota State University, his M.S. from Texas A&M University, and his Ph.D. from Tulane University.
