Virginia Union University Welcomes Chanel Derricott as Assistant Vice President of Facilities and Housing
Virginia Union University is announcing new leaders in its academic and administrative teams.

Chanel Derricott serves as Assistant Vice President for Housing and Facilities. She has worked in higher education for more than 10 years and has led in the areas of residential life, management, public safety, parking and transportation.
Prior to joining this administration, Derricott provided leadership in Facilities Management at Virginia Commonwealth University to VCU Health and the City of Richmond, University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Old Dominion University.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University and a Master of Public Health degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School.
“In my role, my hope is to aid in the continued growth, development and advancement of our students to become great leaders into the next generation. I intend to refine and enhance the university’s historical campus to reflect our commitment to excellence as an institution.”
