WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO FACE DAYTON IN A-10 CHAMPIONSHIP FIRST ROUND
VCU Women's Basketball will be the No. 13 seed and face No. 12 seed Dayton in the Atlantic 10 Championship First Round on Wednesday, March 1 at noon.
The A-10 Championship is being hosted at the Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Del. March 1-5. The first round, second round and quarterfinal matchups will all be streamed on ESPN+. The semifinals will air on CBS Sports Network and the final will air on ESPNU. The full bracket and championship information can be found here.
The game marks the fifth consecutive A-10 Championship that the two teams have faced each other. The teams have met in the A-10 Semifinals three of the last four seasons and once in the A-10 Championship game. The Rams and Flyers met just once this season, a close 70-65 loss for VCU at the Stuart C. Siegel Center back on Feb. 15.
The winner of the contest advances to face No. 5 Richmond on Thursday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m.
