On Wednesday, April 23, former Mechanicsville High School standout Aaron Maxie’s current college team, the Christopher Newport Captains, won 17-0 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Eastern Mennonite Royals.

The game took place at Royals Field. This was their first matchup against the Royals this season.

The Captains’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at Donnie Williams Sea Gull Baseball Stadium against Salisbury Sea Gulls.
