Powhatan ranked 98th in Virginia for resident earnings in 2019

Powhatan ranked 98th among cities in Virginia by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Powhatan residents was $50,446 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 200 households with a population of 348.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Loudoun Valley Estates with $91,311 per year after adjusting for inflation – $40,865 more than Powhatan. It had 2,378 households with a population of 8,020.

The city with the lowest median resident income in the state was Emory with $5,034 per year after adjusting for inflation – $45,412 less than Powhatan. It had 190 households with a population of 1,155.
