R-MC Men's Hoops Tabbed Eighth in D3Hoops.com Poll

R-MC Men's Hoops Tabbed Eighth in D3Hoops.com Poll

The first edition of the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll was released on Monday evening, and the Yellow Jackets were picked eighth. R-MC won their previous two matchups and have started the season 4-1 and 1-0 in ODAC play.

Randolph-Macon has won their last two games, beating Hampden-Sydney in their home opener on Nov. 19, 61-59, and winning their ODAC opener in against Randolph 91-74 on Sunday. The Lemon and Black used a big second half to propel them to a 17-point victory over the WildCats in Crenshaw Gym and begin the conference season.

The Yellow Jackets had previously been the top-ranked team in each of the past 11 poll releases, as well as 20 of the past 23 releases. R-MC is still receiving one first place vote, being one of five teams to receive a vote for the top spot.

Randolph-Macon has a matchup with Virginia Wesleyan in Virginia Beach, Va. tonight at 7:00 p.m. as a rematch of last year's ODAC title game. The Marlins are receiving votes in the top 25 poll. R-MC looks to win their 51st consecutive game in Crenshaw Gym on Saturday when they play host to Washington and Lee at 2:00 p.m.
