Mallory Selected as ODAC Player of the Week
Randolph-Macon senior forward Miles Mallory (Beltsville, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) has been named ODAC Player of the Week for men's basketball after helping the eighth-ranked Yellow Jackets register a pair of conference victories.
On Wednesday, Nov. 30, Mallory recorded his third double-double of the season with 24 points and 12 rebounds in a 66-49 win at previously unbeaten Virginia Wesleyan. He went 9 for 12 from the floor and 6 for 7 from the free throw line.
This past Saturday, Mallory had 10 second-half points and nine rebounds in an 84-71 home victory over Washington and Lee. He went 5 for 6 from the free throw line in the final 92 seconds to help seal the win.
Mallory leads the ODAC with 9.7 rebounds per game and with 2.1 blocks per contest. He is fifth in scoring with 16.7 points per game.
Randolph-Macon is 6-1 overall and 3-0 in ODAC contests. The Yellow Jackets return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 7 with a 7:30 p.m. conference game at Eastern Mennonite.
