R-MC Men's Hoops Climbs to Fifth in D3Hoops Poll
The first edition of the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll was released on Monday evening, and the Yellow Jackets were picked fifth. R-MC won their previous four matchups and have started the season 6-1 and 3-0 in ODAC play.
Randolph-Macon has won their two games this past week, defeating then-unbeaten Virginia Wesleyan 66-49 in Virginia Beach, and then returned home to Crenshaw Gym and defeated Washington and Lee 84-71 to push the winning streak to four.
Previously, the Yellow Jackets were picked atop the preseason poll, and were picked eighth in the first poll release of the regular season. After a solid week of play, R-MC jumps back into the top five with a busy December schedule coming up.
Randolph-Macon has a matchup with Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. in Harrisonburg before a week-long hiatus heading into the Suyes Yellow Jacket Classic in Ashland on Dec. 19 and 20 where they will play Merchant Marine at 7:00 p.m. R-MC will then play either No. 20 Stockton or No. 22 Mary Washington the ensuing day.
