There were five Hawaiian students enrolled in Hanover County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 16.7% less than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Hanover County Public Schools District welcomed 16,818 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Hawaiian students comprised less than 0.1% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the school.

Hanover County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Hanover County and has a main office in Ashland.

Among the 23 schools in Hanover County Public Schools District, Mechanicsville High School and Kersey Creek Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hawaiian students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
