HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Black and Gold set the tone for the match in the opening 45 minutes, controlling possession and getting off 10 shots to St. Bonaventure's five.
- The Bonnies defense held on through the first half, but that would change in the 60th minute when Valdes kicked in the rebound off a set piece by freshman forward Papa Toure to break the scoreless tie.
- The Rams then looked for an insurance goal and found it in the 82nd minute of the match as a free kick by freshman midfielder Andres Rodriguez deflected off the head of a Bonnies defender and into the net.
