Football Ranked #5 in NCAA Regional Rankings
Virginia Union University's football team is currently ranked #5 in the latest NCAA Regional Rankings.
The Panthers are fifth behind Delta State, Benedict, Wingate and West Florida.
"We have worked hard to put ourselves in this position," said VUU Head Football Coach Dr. Alvin Parker. "Now is the time for us to deliver on the mission. The team is definitely up for the challenge and is looking forward to competing this weekend,"
The final rankings will be released on Sunday, November 13, with the #1 seed receiving a bye and the top three remaining seeds hosting the first round of the NCAA Football Playoffs.
The three seeds, #1, #2, and #3 will host the NCAA Playoff game on Saturday, November 19. The NCAA will group the playoffs so that the teams closest to each other will play each other in the first round, therefore avoiding air travel.
