Board of Visitors Meeting Notice for November 17-18, 2022

The Virginia State University (VSU) Board of Visitors will meet on Thursday-Friday, November 17-18, 2022 in the Gateway Dining and Events Center located on the campus at 2804 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Board committees will meet on Thursday and on Friday morning as indicated below. These public sessions, while open to constituent attendance, are exempted from livestream as they do not qualify as full board meetings. No Board actions will be taken, and there will not be an opportunity for public comment.

Thursday, November 17th

  • 9:00 a.m. - Committee on Academic & Student Affairs
  • 12:30 p.m. - Committee on Institutional Advancement
Friday, November 18th

  • 9:00 a.m. – Committee on Facilities & Finance
At 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 18th, the Full Board will convene at the Gateway Dining & Events Center for a board meeting, which will be available via livestream. However, there will not be an opportunity for public comment at the meeting.

The public may access the Full Board meeting as follows: 1) Select the following link https://livestream.com/vsu/events/10668930 or 2) Scroll to the bottom of the VSU website homepage (www.vsu.edu) and select VSU Live Events. Viewers will then select the event titled, “November 18th Board of Visitors Meeting – November 2022”

Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, VSU will provide a sign language interpreter during the livestream (IT Accessibility Laws and Policies | Section508.gov). If viewers experience technical interruption, they may contact the VSU Helpdesk at (804) 524-5210.

All start and ending meeting times are approximate. Meetings may begin after the posted start time at the pleasure of the Board. The Board reserves the right to change its schedule as necessary.
