Tough Go for Nighthawks
Jack Pinson made eight saves, but the Northern Virginia Community College men's soccer team struggled to get the offense going in an 8-0 loss at Montgomery Saturday night in NJCAA Region 20 action.
The Nighthawks, who fell to 0-6-0 look to pick their first win of the season Friday afternoon at Carroll Community College.
It took the Raptors just 7:42 to get their first goal of the day and would go on to score in the 12th and 38th minute of the first half. MC would then add five more tallies in the second half to put the game out of reach.
Offensively for NOVA, Ermias Goshu and Javier Jimenez each had a shot on target, but were turned away. In all the Nighthawks finished the evening with four total shots.
